“A private tour was the best way to see Montserrat. We were picked up right at our hotel, and our guide Pau was possibly the most interesting person we have ever met! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the monastery, knew the best order to view all of the different attractions and even where to buy the best cheeses from the local market vendors outside of the monastery. A lot of walking and it does get quite hot as the day goes on, so I would recommend the 9 am time slot. We took a hike up to the black cross, came down and rested and had lunch,…”
